AI Native
Amplifying Human Judgment in an Age of Intelligent Systems
What does it mean to be AI-native?
It means recognizing that artificial intelligence is effective, rapidly evolving, and offers powerful tools to address real-world challenges.
Over the past 40 years, we’ve seen successive waves of innovation: the personal computer in the 1980s, the internet in the 1990s, the smartphone in the 2000s, Bitcoin and blockchain in the 2010s, and now, artificial intelligence.
In the past, we allowed time for a new generation to grow up immersed in it: the “digital natives.” Today, that luxury is gone. The opportunity to become AI-native is open to everyone, regardless of age, background, or profession.
The new generation of AI tools empowers individuals and organizations to work faster and better, automating processes that once consumed human talent and creativity. Until recently, automation required specialized teams, long timelines, and large budgets. Much of it simply never happened. Now, with AI, the power of automation is democratized, available to everyone, at every level of an organization.
An AI-native organization isn’t one that replaces people with algorithms. It’s one that recognizes the value of human potential and uses AI to elevate it, allowing teams to focus on what truly matters: defining purpose, setting direction, and pulling each other upward. As with all great technologies, the goal isn’t substitution, but amplification, improving productivity and human flourishing together.
Al Liwan Group is an emerging, AI-native, next-generation financial services firm headquartered in Abu Dhabi, with offices in Riyadh, Tel Aviv, London, and New York.
As Head of Innovation at Al Liwan Group, my work spans three strategic domains that express this vision in practice:
Artificial Intelligence – embedding intelligence across operations and decision-making, transforming how financial services are delivered and scaled.
Digital Assets – developing regulated frameworks for tokenized finance, bridging traditional and digital markets within the UAE and globally.
Knowledge Management – designing systems that turn collective expertise into shared, actionable intelligence, ensuring that organizational learning compounds over time.
Each of these reinforces the same objective: building an AI-native institution where human insight and machine intelligence evolve together to achieve more than either could alone.
We are building an AI-native financial institution, embedding intelligence across our operations to enhance decision-making, client engagement, compliance, and investment outcomes. Guided by a belief in purposeful finance, we aim to bridge East and West through ventures and ecosystems that are collaborative, inclusive, and transformative, shaping a more prosperous and connected global future.
